  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
  • Identification of the material you believe is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it, such as the page URL
  • Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf

Please note that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation that material is infringing may be liable for damages.

What happens next

When we receive a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the material, make a reasonable effort to notify the person who provided it, and keep a record of the notice.

Counter-notices

If material you provided was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the address above that includes:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
  • Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant tells us they have filed a court action.

Repeat infringers

We will close the accounts of users who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
